Hi! I am new to breeding pures and was kind of wondering how I would do it, the few I bred didn't come out pure.

Does it take a few time before they come out with the pure gene? Do they have to have the same gene for it to work or can I mix say a pure maroon and a pure white?

Species update & new mutations!
We've made a few changes to our friends Avi, Draconis and Lupus to improve their overall quality and enhance the way we can create for them. New mutations have been added to all of them so do go check them out and see if you can notice the changes.



Avi:
- Removed Hands from Prehistoric Body mutation to unlock our ability to add more varied wing genes.

Draconis:
- Separated Spine and Forelock genes
- Updated all bicolor Flame genes for better quality
- Base color display changed
- Added Teeth category

Lupus:
- Separated Head genes to Head and Ears categories
- Slightly changed the look of Husky Ears

I give artists the event themes for the current year and if they pick to draw for an event they have to finish before that event arrives. So they can have months to finish something depending on what they choose. There is also an option to draw genes "for stock" which have no deadline and the themes are freely chosen or they can pick something from player suggestions if they're stuck with ideas. You can also just draw a few genes and not continue with more if for any reason you no longer have the time or don't enjoy it anymore. There isn't really any pressure, just communicate your needs.

ooh thats good, I much prefer those deadlines so you can draw when you have the right mood and not be rushed to it (especially now with a kitten who enjoys the stylus 'toy'), explains why i see always the best work :) though i still have no idea for commission rates as its usually pwyw i charge with a minimum fee. Does it matter if I don't have an exact commission rate yet?

Lupus and Draconis Update
We're preforming an update on the Lupus and Draconis today, due to this they will be set in "Maintenance" mode which will block breeding, generating, splicing etc. There might be some graphical display issues on these species while we're making the updates but it should all be resolved once we're finished.
